Thank you...

So on Easter Sunday I read this poem to my family and 2 of my 3 brothers...today I got to give my 3rd brother his shirt, so now I will share this with you all on Boston Eve, although some inside stories are included, these are my people....

Way back awhile in history
a boy named John
burned his knee

In high school he found the oval
Track and running became part of his soul

Many years later another first born
Found the sport of cross country
Was more entertaining than porn ;)

Pat's beginning touched us all
Doug followed his footsteps
Continuing all the way through his years in his Residence Hall
Drewsy thought, Why not? I can do it, too.
His legs were more about speed
And in the 4x400 he flew.

Behind all the boys was a cheerleader most dear
Her voice rising louder than the thousands
Heard by her children's keen ears

I grew up watching, admiring all three
Wanting to be like "the boys"
However, a boy I never was going to be.

I found my own race
Build for comfort not for speed
The marathon pace
was just right for me.

Running has become an important part of my life
Clearing my head, dropping off stress
Helping me be a better wife

Jason has supported me through and through
Although I know he still wonders sometimes
Why I do what I do.

Natia and Zoriana give me perks on the side
Switching Pandora, giving me GU
Sometimes coming along with me on a bike ride

Today I am very glad
to have an opportunity to
Say thanks to my PAD

Whether you know it or not
You've been with me on many miles
Given me a push
when I didn't want to smile

Each of you mean so much to me
I ask that on Boston Monday
to support me while I'm rocking my Bugman's Brambles, LLC.
