Half way

Well it's still winter here in Wisconsin. Colder than a witch's titty.  However, training must happen regardless of the weather. The treadmill and I have been good friends, spending a lot of time together. Last week marked the half way point of my 18 week schedule. 
Higher mileage weeks are coming up, and longer runs. I am hoping they will not all be on the treadmill (or the Pettit perhaps). Hoping to get outside, but it is what it is, and I will get through it. Trying not to stress about the where the runs are happening, just want to make sure they are getting done. At the end of the day, all I can control is the preparation for Boston and my attitude.

I'm in MD. It's cold here, but you'd probably snicker at what we call cold. I'm running outside with lots of layers and a little Gore-tex. How do you beat boredom on the treadmill? When it's not stroller running weather, I'm on the treadmill or elliptical at the gym. I've started listening to podcasts instead of music, which has been a nice change. I'm too cheap to subscribe to Netflix or something similar to watch on my iPad.

Music is my sanity on my treadmill. Playlists, Pandora, I will occasionally watch videos (I do have a TV in front of me). I haven't made the jump to any subscription either. I cover up the screen so I don't know how long it has been. It became a necessity when my girls were younger, but now I embrace it because it lets me get it done. That being said, hurry up spring!
